BOLOGNA PROCESS INFORMATION MEETING HELD AT ESBMYO
As part of the Bologna Process activities, one leg of the information meetings held across Trakya University academic units took place at the Edirne Vocational School of Social Sciences (ESBMYO). The meeting, held on Wednesday, January 8, brought together the Bologna program coordinators from ESBMYO and the Şehit Ressam Hasan Rıza Vocational School of Fine Arts. During the meeting, Dr. Lecturer Abdullah Akgün, a member of the Trakya University Qualifications Framework Subcommittee, and Dr. Lecturer Mehmet Arda Yılmaz, a member of the ECTS Commission, emphasized key aspects of the Bologna Process. The meeting addressed the technical details of organizing Bologna content and common mistakes encountered in the process. Additionally, the views and suggestions of academic staff regarding the standards for content development were recorded.
What is the Bologna Process?
The Bologna Process is an initiative carried out among European higher education institutions with the primary goal of creating easily understandable and comparable higher education diplomas and/or degrees. Trakya University is actively working to align with this process with significant efforts, aiming to standardize higher education courses based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), and to promote and facilitate the mobility of students and academic staff.
